Russian General Returns to Work in Algeria Following Wagner Mutiny
Russian General Sergei Surovikin, who was suspected of involvement in the June mutiny by the Wagner mercenary force, has reportedly returned to official duties and is currently in Algeria as part of a Defense Ministry delegation. Surovikin, known as "General Armageddon" for his tactics in Syria, briefly led Russia's campaign in Ukraine before being demoted. He disappeared from public view after the mutiny, and there were reports that he had fallen out of favor with the Kremlin and was being investigated. However, his current status remains unconfirmed.
