The ACLU and ACLU of Indiana have expressed disappointment and vowed to continue challenging the law on behalf of transgender youth, their families, and healthcare providers.

Nebraska Legislature Sparks Controversy with Transgender and Abortion Bills.

Nebraska lawmakers, including Sens. Megan Hunt and Machaela Cavanaugh, are vowing to "burn" down next year's legislative session after an intense day of debating abortion and gender-affirming health care. The Let Them Grow Act, a bill aimed at banning gender-affirming surgeries for minors, was combined with a 12-week abortion ban. Sen. Jen Day called out supporters of the bill for leaving through a special exit to avoid those whose rights were being taken away.
