"Discovery: Trio of Young Stars Unveiled in Milky Way's Core"
Astronomers have discovered three young stars in the Milky Way's nuclear star cluster, with ages ranging from 100 million to 1.5 billion years old. Using high-resolution data from the Keck II telescope, the researchers measured the iron levels in these stars to trace the galaxy's development. The wide variation in iron levels suggests that the innermost parts of the Galaxy are highly inhomogeneous. This study provides valuable insights into the formation and development of our home Galaxy.
