Texas Shooting Suspect's Wife Planned Escape to Mexico, 9-Year-Old Soccer Fan Among Victims.
Divimara Lamar Nava, the wife of Texas shooting suspect Francisco Oropesa, was arrested for allegedly helping him plan his escape to Mexico and bringing him donuts at a bolthole near the scene of the mass shooting. She admitted to delivering a message from Oropesa to his cousins, asking them to help smuggle him out of the country. While Oropesa was hiding, Lamar Nava cooperated with investigators. Oropesa was arrested on five counts of first-degree murder after killing his neighbors in Cleveland, Texas, and has been deported to Mexico four times between 2009 and 2016.
