"Supreme Court Eases Path for Workplace Discrimination Lawsuits"

The Supreme Court ruled that workers who are transferred against their will can pursue job discrimination claims under federal civil rights law, even if they are not demoted or have their pay docked. The decision revives a sex discrimination lawsuit filed by a St. Louis police sergeant who was forcibly transferred but retained her rank and pay. The ruling makes it clear that employers cannot make job decisions based on race and gender, and the case now returns to lower courts for further proceedings.

Opposition figure reveals Belarusian leader's approval of forced transfers of Ukrainian children

Belarusian opposition activist Pavel Latushka has provided the International Criminal Court (ICC) with materials alleging that President Alexander Lukashenko approved the forced transfer of over 2,100 Ukrainian children to Belarus. Latushka hopes that the ICC will issue a warrant for Lukashenko's arrest, similar to the warrants issued for Russian President Vladimir Putin and his commissioner for children's rights. Lukashenko has denied the accusations, stating that Belarus has temporarily hosted the children to help them recover from the trauma of war. The ICC has not confirmed receipt of the materials.
