Delta Expands International Fleet with Up to 60 Boeing 787 Dreamliners
Delta Air Lines placed a direct order with Boeing for up to 60 787 Dreamliners (30 firm with option for 30 more) to support long-haul international growth and modernize its widebody fleet, bringing its Boeing order book to 130 aircraft (alongside a separate order for 100 737-10s). The 787-10 can carry up to 336 passengers and uses about 25% less fuel than the aircraft it replaces, enabling expansion on transatlantic and South American routes and improving efficiency and passenger experience.
