Stephen Vogt, in his first season as manager of the Cleveland Guardians, has been named the American League Manager of the Year by the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Vogt is the third first-year manager in the AL to win this award, joining Jeff Banister and Rocco Baldelli. This is the fifth time a Cleveland manager has received this honor, with Vogt following in the footsteps of Terry Francona and Eric Wedge. Vogt was the only manager to appear on every ballot, securing the award with 142 points.
