The researchers asked 200 men to self-report on physical attributes linked to masculinity and found that those paid more money inflated numbers less. The study also revealed that men on average subtract several pounds from their weight. The researchers concluded that men exaggerate physical attributes because they equate bigger with better when it comes to male markers of masculinity.
