"Challenges Mount for Biden's Ballot Placement in Multiple States"
Ohio GOP leaders rejected a plan from Democrats to get President Joe Biden on the November ballot after the party scheduled its convention past a state election deadline. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose warned that Biden is at risk of not making the ballot due to the state's 90-day certification requirement before the election. Democrats proposed provisional certification, but the Attorney General's office stated that this won't work and the law mandates actual certification by August 7. Democrats are left with the options of seeking legislative exemption or suing, as Ohio isn't the only state facing this issue.
