"Amazon Pharmacy Streamlines Insulin Discounts for Patients"

Amazon Pharmacy announced that it will automatically apply manufacturer-sponsored coupons to over 15 insulin and diabetes medicines, helping patients access discounts pledged by the drug industry. This program eliminates the need for patients to manually search for and enter coupons from insulin makers such as Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly, and Sanofi. The move comes after a report revealed that some patients were struggling to obtain discounted insulin from pharmacies. Amazon Pharmacy will also apply discounts to diabetes-related medical devices and other cardiometabolic medicines. The automated discounting aims to make it easier for the 37 million Americans with diabetes to access affordable treatments.
