As the Fourth of July weekend approaches, experts warn that hot and dry conditions across much of the US pose a high risk for wildfires. Some communities are opting for drone light displays instead of traditional fireworks to mitigate the danger. However, other areas in California, Nevada, and Arizona are proceeding with live fireworks shows despite the dry conditions. The lack of rainfall in these regions, combined with above-average precipitation during the winter, has created prime conditions for wildfires. Triple-digit temperatures and the absence of rain for over three months increase the risk of fires sparked by amateur fireworks or other careless actions.
