Lane worked at the Republican National Committee in addition to assisting the Trump campaign’s efforts in Arizona and New Mexico in 2020.

This discovery highlights the difference between his investigation and the probe into President Joe Biden's handling of classified documents, which were found in his office and home. Trump claimed that the justice system was being skewed against him, while Biden's team immediately notified the government and turned over improperly stored classified documents.
