Des Moines International Airport Parking Fees Set to Increase
Starting July 24, parking rates at Des Moines International Airport will increase, with the first 20 minutes remaining free and the hourly rate doubling from $1 to $2. Long-term parking will also see an increase from $18 to $20 per day. The price hike is necessary to cover the costs of expanding the parking garage, which will add over 1,100 new parking spaces. The expansion is funded by a federal grant, and the increased rates will cover operational costs such as new shuttles, gas and electric charger station installation, and shuttle driver wage increases.
