Trouble on American Airlines Flight from Des Moines Airport.

An American Airlines flight from Des Moines to Charlotte returned to the Des Moines International Airport shortly after takeoff due to a possible mechanical issue. The pilot flew in circles over Dallas County for several minutes to burn off fuel before landing safely. Passengers were told an access panel on the nose of the plane was left open, prompting the landing. The flight took off again after maintenance evaluation and passengers arrived in Charlotte by 12:44 p.m. CT.
