The Link Between Lifestyle, Diet, and Alzheimer's Risk

A recent study led by the University of California, San Francisco suggests that personalized coaching in health and lifestyle can lead to better cognitive scores, improved quality of life, and reduced dementia risk. The study, titled the Systematic Multi-Domain Alzheimer Risk Reduction Trial (SMARRT), involved 172 older adults at high risk for dementia who received personalized coaching or no coaching. The intervention group showed a 74% improvement in cognitive test scores, a 145% improvement in dementia risk factors, and an 8% increase in quality of life compared to the control group. The study highlights the potential benefits of cognitive coaching in reducing Alzheimer's risk and improving brain health.
