"Russian Dam Burst Triggers Massive Evacuations Amid Record Floods"
Floods caused by rising water levels in the Ural River broke a dam in the Russian city of Orsk, leading to the evacuation of around 2,000 people. The dam broke due to the increased water levels, flooding over 2,400 residential buildings and causing power outages. Evacuation efforts are ongoing, and the water level has surpassed the dam's capacity, prompting concerns. Additionally, nearly 4,000 people have been evacuated from other affected areas in the region. An investigation has been opened to examine potential construction safety violations and negligence related to the dam break.
