A Jack-in-the-Box employee in Houston, Texas, shot at a drive-thru customer and his family during an argument over missing curly fries. The incident, which occurred in March 2021, was captured on video and recently released. The employee, Alonniea Fantasia Ford, became agitated with the customer, Anthony Ramos, and his family, and after a dispute over the missing fries, she threw ice and condiments before firing at least two shots at them. A lawsuit has been filed against Jack-in-the-Box, claiming negligence for not ensuring customer safety. Ford pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and completed a one-year deferred adjudication sentence. The lawsuit seeks at least $250,000 in damages.
