Salmonella Outbreak Prompts Widespread Cucumber Recall Across North America
The FDA has expanded its cucumber recall to 35 U.S. states and five Canadian provinces due to salmonella concerns, with 68 infections reported. Retailers like Walmart, Wegmans, Albertsons, and Costco are affected. The recall, initially started by SunFed Produce, now includes Baloian Farms and Russ Davis, which have also recalled products containing potentially contaminated cucumbers. While no deaths have been reported, 18 people have been hospitalized.
