Impending Solar Storm Threatens Earth as NASA Warns of Approaching CME Clouds
NASA has warned that a large Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) cloud is approaching Earth and is expected to hit on July 13, 2023. This solar storm could produce high latitude auroras, including the Northern Lights, in several parts of North America. The Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska predicts that the auroral activity will be visible in multiple states. While there are concerns about the potential disruption to the internet and electronic devices, experts believe that this solar storm is unlikely to cause significant damage.
