Driver rescued after 2-day ordeal on California's Big Sur cliff
A man was rescued by the California Highway Patrol Coastal Division after accidentally driving off a cliff and plunging 400 feet. He was stranded for two days but only suffered moderate injuries. The rescue operation was initiated after a call requesting a search for a vehicle over the side of a cliff. The man was found standing near the beach below, waving a makeshift flag, and was lifted to safety using a rope. He explained that he swerved to avoid hitting a deer, causing his vehicle to roll down the cliff's edge, and he was ejected through the sunroof during the incident.
