Tourist Survives Dramatic Cliff Plunge in Hawaii
A Canadian tourist in Hawaii drove his rental car off a 60-foot cliff, fell into the water, and was rescued by firefighters and a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter crew after fishermen called 911. The man was treated for minor injuries and hypothermia. Witnesses said the rented Jeep landed upside down on the rocks, and the driver fell into the water when he opened the passenger side door. This incident comes after a tourist in Northern California survived being stranded for three days after falling off a 1,000-foot cliff while hiking.
