California doctor intentionally drove Tesla off cliff with family inside, court documents reveal.

A California man accused of intentionally driving his Tesla off a cliff with his wife and two children inside claimed he pulled over to check the tire pressure, according to court documents obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle. His wife, however, told first responders that he drove off the cliff on purpose. The man, Dharmesh Patel, was charged with three counts of attempted murder in January and pleaded not guilty. All four family members survived the crash. Patel is scheduled to appear in court on June 12 for a preliminary hearing.
