Anchor Brewing halts national sales, discontinues popular beer.
Anchor Brewing Company, a historic California brewery, will no longer distribute its beers outside of the state due to challenging economic realities. The decision was made despite the fact that 70% of its sales come from California. Additionally, the brewery will no longer produce its iconic holiday beer, Christmas Ale, due to costly brewing and packaging requirements. The beer will only be available in limited quantities at the Anchor Public Taps tasting room in San Francisco.
