NASA's Curiosity Rover Discovers Dragon-Like Skeleton on Mars
NASA's Mars Curiosity rover captured an image that left some people seeing a fossilized Martian dragon, but NASA explains that the odd-shaped rocks on Mars have their origin in the ancient past when liquid water seeped through the cracks in the rock, bringing minerals along with them. The image was captured utilizing the rover's Chemistry and Camera (ChemCam) instrument, which identifies the chemical and mineral compositions of rocks and soils. Curiosity has taken over one million images since landing on the Red Planet in August of 2012.
