Despite its reputation as a low-impact sport, pickleball poses serious risks, especially for those with weaker bones from conditions like osteoporosis. Experts advise players to understand their risk profile, speak with a physician to lower their risk, learn proper mechanics and form, warm up before playing, choose appropriate footwear, and learn to fall in a way that minimizes the risk of injury.
