Dorothy Zehnder, a renowned Michigan restaurateur, passed away at the age of 101. Alongside her husband, she transformed a small restaurant into a popular tourist destination in Frankenmuth. Zehnder was known for her famous Frankenmuth chicken dinners and her dedication to maintaining the quality and authenticity of her recipes. Despite battling cancer in her later years, she continued to work six days a week until she turned 100. Zehnder's legacy includes writing cookbooks, running a family foundation, and being inducted into the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame. Funeral arrangements are being made, and she will be laid to rest next to her husband in Frankenmuth.
