Remembering the Legacy of Bavarian Inn Matriarch Dorothy Zehnder

Dorothy Zehnder, the beloved matriarch of the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth, Michigan, has passed away at the age of 101. Having dedicated over 85 years of her life to the family-run inn, Zehnder oversaw the service of thousands of people a day and the creation of 900,000 meals a year. Survived by her family, she leaves behind a legacy of community support and culinary expertise, as well as being an inductee in the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Saginaw Lifetime Achievement Award.
