iPhone users involved in Apple's 'batterygate' class action lawsuit have begun receiving payments from the $500 million settlement. The lawsuit, settled in 2020, accused Apple of intentionally slowing down older iPhones. Payments, which were initially estimated at $25 per claim, have reached up to $92 per device. Eligible devices include certain models of iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, SE, 7, and 7 Plus. Payments are expected to continue as per the settlement schedule, with a start in January 2024.
