Saudi Arabia's First Astronauts, Including First Woman, Rocket to ISS on Private SpaceX Flight

The Axiom Mission 2 space crew, including two Saudi Arabian astronauts, launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on a private charter flight to the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday. The flight marks the first time Saudi Arabians launched into outer space since 1985. The crew is expected to dock at the ISS on Monday and return to Earth within the next two weeks. This is the second private flight to the ISS organized by Houston-based Axiom Space.

Iowan Peggy Whitson set for record-breaking return to space.

Peggy Whitson, America's most experienced astronaut, will be the first female commander of a private space mission when she leads Axiom Mission 2 to the International Space Station in May. The mission is expected to last 12 days and will include over 20 experiments aimed at bettering the world. Whitson spent 665 days in space over three NASA missions and was the first woman to command the International Space Station twice.
