Developer Hexworks is reviving the Lords of the Fallen IP with a new game that sets itself apart from other Souls-like titles by introducing the concept of duelling worlds. The game features Axiom, the world of the living, and Umbral, the world of the dead, which run concurrently. Players must navigate between the two worlds to overcome obstacles and progress. The Umbral lamp allows players to peer into Umbral and slow down enemies using Soul Flaying. Dying in the game transports players to Umbral for a second chance. The game is set to release on October 13, 2023, for PS5.
