Teen rider's jaw and teeth shattered in horse horror.
A 19-year-old farm worker from Dorset, England, suffered a shattered jaw and lost two front teeth after her horse accidentally kicked her in the face during their first ride together. The incident left her unconscious for 30 minutes and required surgery to fix a metal plate and brackets to hold her jaw and teeth in place. The NHS informed her that she would have to wait up to three years for dentures, so she raised funds to have them done privately. She is now hoping to raise £10,000 for implants and to raise awareness of the importance of wearing helmets while horse riding.
