Iranian bombers nearly strike Al Udeid Air Base before downed by Qatari jets
Two Iranian Su-24 bombers reportedly flew very low toward Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar but were shot down by Qatari F-15 fighters about two minutes from their target, according to CNN sources cited by Stars and Stripes. The incident, described as a rare direct clash, occurred as regional tensions rose amid a broader U.S.-led campaign; Al Udeid remains a major hub for U.S. forces in the region.
