Google AdSense introduces a new ad format called "ad intents" that converts existing text on a website into links that launch Google Search results with relevant ads, without relying on third-party cookies. This format can be placed within existing text or at the bottom of the page, and works on both mobile and desktop platforms. The number of ad intent links shown is automatically determined based on the page's word count to maintain a good user experience. This new ad format is available to AdSense publishers and is opt-in, and comes as AdSense users have reported significant drops in revenue since February 2024.
