Astronomers have discovered an ultramassive black hole in the galaxy cluster Abell 1201, measuring upwards of 32.7 billion times the mass of our Sun, exceeding previous estimates by at least 7 billion solar masses. The black hole was detected through gravitational lensing, where light curves exponentially around it. This discovery is one of the biggest black holes ever detected and could help us discover more ultramassive black holes in the future.
