"Proton Rings Shed Light on the Early Universe"
Physicists at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility have conducted an experiment to explore the 3D structures of resonances of protons and neutrons, shedding light on the basic properties of nucleon resonances. The experiment involved exciting the quarks within protons using a high-energy electron beam and studying the resulting nucleon resonance. The research provides insights into the early universe after the Big Bang and the formation of matter. Further experiments are planned to investigate different characteristics of the scattering process and to gain more information about the formation of matter in the universe.
