"Meet India's First Gaganyaan Astronauts: The Chosen Four"

India has revealed the four Air Force pilots shortlisted to travel on its maiden space flight, the Gaganyaan mission, scheduled for next year. The mission aims to send three astronauts to orbit 400km above Earth for three days. The astronaut-designates received their "wings" and have undergone extensive training in Russia. India's space agency, Isro, also introduced a female humanoid, Vyommitra, to be sent into space later this year. If successful, India will become the fourth country to send a human into space, following the Soviet Union, the US, and China.
