The lack of a strong narrative on farmers and the unsuccessful use of the OBC card and soft Hindutva agenda also contributed to the party's defeat. Additionally, the absence of fresh faces in the party and the aging leadership of Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh impacted the campaign. As of now, the BJP is leading in 165 seats, while the Congress is leading in 65 seats.
