"United States Escalates Sanctions Against Russia for Illegal War on Ukraine"

The United States Department of State has imposed further sanctions on individuals and entities involved in Russia's war against Ukraine. The sanctions target entities in Russia's energy sector, including those involved in the Arctic LNG 2 project, as well as entities in the metals and mining sector. Additionally, a Georgian-Russian oligarch and a Russian Intelligence Services officer have been designated to address Russia's malign influence abroad. Two Turkish-based companies have also been designated for providing material support and supporting Russian sanctions evasion.
