The Wagner Rebellion: Insights into Putin's Power and Global Implications

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated that Ukraine is not currently under threat from the Wagner private military company (PMC) fighters in Belarus. He mentioned that only a portion of the Wagner mercenaries will be transferred to Belarus, and Ukraine's northern border is well fortified. The Wagner PMC will be divided into four separate entities, with one group remaining under contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense to continue fighting against Ukraine. Another group will be contracted by the Rosgvardiya (National Guard) and operate within Russia, while the remaining members will provide special forces training in Belarus and resume activities in Africa.
