Lebanon's PM Asserts Commitment to UN Resolutions Despite Hezbollah Attacks

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati visited southern Lebanon to reaffirm Lebanon's commitment to UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the 2006 conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. Despite Mikati's claims, Hezbollah has been continuously violating the resolution by launching cross-border attacks on Israel. The attacks have intensified since the start of the Israel-Hamas war, with Hezbollah operating freely along Lebanon's border and firing rockets and anti-tank missiles at Israeli towns and army positions. The IDF has responded by striking Hezbollah's cells and posts in southern Lebanon.
