Rogue orca pod wreaks havoc on boats off Spanish coast.

A pod of killer whales has been targeting boats in the Atlantic coast of the Iberian Peninsula, with the latest incident involving a yacht in the Strait of Gibraltar. The orcas have been ramming boats, causing damage to rudders and hulls. The Atlantic Orca Working Group has registered 207 such events in 2022 alone. The cause of the behavior is unknown, but researchers have identified 15 individual whales involved in the incidents. The whales are social animals and may be playing or reacting to a traumatic event with a boat.
