A Tornado Watch has been issued for parts of Texas and Oklahoma, while the Plains have the greatest threat of dangerous weather with a Level 4 out of 5 severe weather risk across much of western Oklahoma into southwestern Kansas. The severe weather threat continues into Friday and this weekend, with risks including damaging wind gusts, hailstones larger than 2-3 inches, and tornadoes. Heavy rains will also bring a likely risk of flash flooding from central and western Mississippi through southern Alabama and Georgia, as well as the Florida Panhandle.
