Hurricane Nigel has formed in the Atlantic and is expected to rapidly intensify into a major Category 3 storm by Tuesday, according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm is currently a Category 1 hurricane and is located east-southeast of Bermuda. There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. Additionally, forecasters are monitoring two other tropical disturbances in the Atlantic for potential development. One tropical wave off the west coast of Africa has a high chance of forming into a tropical depression, while an area of non-tropical low pressure off the east coast of Florida has a low chance of formation.
