E. Coli Outbreak in Minnesota Linked to Ground Beef Recall

At least 19 people in Minnesota have fallen ill due to E. coli poisoning linked to a national recall of over 167,000 pounds of ground beef by Wolverine Packing Co. The contaminated beef, which tested positive for E. coli O157:H7, was distributed to restaurants nationwide, with illnesses reported at Red Cow and Hen House Eatery in Minnesota. Four individuals were hospitalized, with two developing serious kidney complications. The U.S. Agriculture Department reports no cases outside Minnesota, and the investigation is ongoing.
