"ULA's Vulcan Rocket Set to Soar on Christmas Eve, Confirms CEO"

United Launch Alliance (ULA) is targeting Christmas Eve for the inaugural launch of its Vulcan rocket, according to CEO Tory Bruno. The launch window runs from December 24 to December 26, with the rocket taking off from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The first mission of Vulcan will carry a commercial lunar lander built by Astrobotic and a payload for Celestis, which will contain the ashes of individuals who wanted to be buried in space. ULA plans to launch "several times" in 2024 and increase its launch rate to every other week by the second half of 2025.
