China's Moon Mission: 3D Printing for Habitat Building

China plans to explore the use of 3D printing technology to construct buildings on the moon as part of its long-term lunar habitation plans. The Chang'e 8 probe, scheduled for launch in 2028, will investigate the use of 3D printing on the lunar surface and look for reusable resources for human habitation. China aims to start building a lunar base using moon soil in five years and launch a robot to make "lunar soil bricks" during the Chang'e 8 mission.
