Japan's SLIM lunar lander, which made a record-breaking landing on the Moon, has sent final photos before entering the freezing lunar night. The lander faced challenges after landing on its nose, but managed to rejuvenate and send back images of the lunar surface. Now in power-down mode, it must survive the 14.5-day lunar night with temperatures dropping to -130°C. If it wakes up, it will continue its science missions, exploring the area of Shioli crater and analyzing the lunar rocks' chemical composition.
