Elusive Dumbo Octopus Captured on Film in Hawaii's Marine Monument

NOAA scientists have spotted the elusive Dumbo octopus, a deep-sea animal, during an expedition in the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument. The octopus, named for its large ear-like fins, was observed a mile underwater in the Pacific Ocean.
