Stunning Images Unveiled from Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2023

The Royal Observatory Greenwich has revealed the shortlisted photos for its 15th annual Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition, featuring stunning images of the night sky captured by photographers worldwide. With over 4,000 entries from 64 countries, this year's competition showcases the beauty of aurorae, galaxies, our moon, our sun, people and space, planets, comets, and asteroids, skyscapes, stars and nebulae, and young astronomy photographers. Winners will be announced on September 14, and the winning photos will be exhibited at the National Maritime Museum in London starting September 16.
