Chilling Halloween Forecast: Snow, Record Cold, and Showers

Millions of trick-or-treaters in the US will face snow or chilling temperatures this Halloween, with a storm off the mid-Atlantic coast bringing showers to the Carolinas and southern New Jersey. Snow showers are also expected in parts of the Great Lakes, including Chicago, although little accumulation is anticipated. Approximately 120 million people are under freeze watches and warnings, as bone-chilling air from Canada has caused temperatures to plummet by as much as 30 degrees. High temperatures in the East and parts of the South will fall nearly 10 degrees below normal, while portions of the West Coast and Florida will be spared from the cold.
